Herbal Medicine Grown With A Loving Touch

August 27, 2009

Dr. David Majercin D.C.

Emigdio runs the farm grounds for the Pueblo people high in the mountains in New Mexico, and grows all the herbs we use in our medicinal formulas. He is a 3rd generation farmer and is considered a wise shaman to the local people. He trys to maximize the land he has available to grow things that will bring the most health to people. It contrasts utilizing the land to generate maximum dollars, and radically differs from mass produced crops.

The well being of the plants are honored. It begins with the seeds. A full fiesta is thrown for the seeds were people get together and have a good time and celebrate. The seed are said to be infused with the good energy. Everyday in the fields Emigdio teaches to leave all problems at home. He teaches that plants pick up on negative energy and it affects their health. Time in the fields is time spent to be close to God and the earth. Everything is done by hand. The young men are bent over the better half of the day tending to the plants. The plants get watered mid day in the hot sun because they are thirsty. If your child was thirsty would you not give him a drink? Modern farming does not water mid day due to evaporation.

Emigdio is considered a genius grower and is well respected for what he has done. He went to college as a young man to study modern agriculture. Over the years he has discovered that just about everything he was taught was wrong for growing plants for health. He follows very strict organic, biodynamic farming methods and the traditional methods from his culture. From years of composting with worms the soil has become black and full of nutrients.  They create special formulas to fix sickly plants. Big barrels of fermenting vegetable mater that the plants love.

He diagnoses his sickly plants with a method very similiar to the kinesiology method we use at our clinic for people. He uses dowsing rods and asks questions as to what a particular plant needs. He says it has worked for him 100% of the time.

At the herb extracting facility, they will typically get a call from Emigdio about a day in advance telling them that herb X is ready and he will be delivering it tomorrow. The herbs get delivered and he leaves. No invoice, not weighed, nothing. If they don`t pay him in a week or several months there is no call from Emigdio. He grows to bring health to people. There is no concern for money at all. Normally with other growers there is an a notice many days in advance, an invoice, paying in advance, etc. They have to scramble to figure out what they have, how much, what they owe, because they must process the fresh herbs within 24 hours.

I feel very fortunate for having met Emigdio. He is very special and just radiates goodness. I am also very appreciative of the natural medicine we can make and utilize for people`s well being.
